Coldest Night of the Year

Thank you for your participation on February 20

Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) is a fun, all-ages fundraising event where participants walk a pre-planned route to raise funds for charities across North America. The annual events in Kingston and Belleville, raise funds and awareness for the local drop-in centres of nightlight Canada (nightlight Belleville and nightlight Kingston).

As much as this event is about helping others, it’s also an fun opportunity to spend time with your friends, family, and/or coworkers, while making a difference!  You get the pleasure of exercise outside as well as sense of accomplishment with reaching your fundraising goals.

nightlight Canada runs adult drop-in centres that provide a welcoming and climate controlled space where individuals can be part of a loving community. CNOY is our largest fundraiser of the year, and so important to our organization. We are excited to invite you to participate in this event and shine a spotlight our work to address relational poverty. Your support means a lot to us and our guests.

THANK YOU for the wonderful event!

We are incredibly grateful to all the participants, donors and Blue Sea for another year of generous giving!

Wondering you missed out this opportunity? It is still not too late to be part of this event. We welcome your kind contributions to this event until March 31st.

Do reach out and submit your donations via online or mail. We appreciate your generosity!

** COVID-19 related event changes **
We are changing how we do things for this year’s event. You have the option of participating in a virtual event (walking when and where you want), or you can join us for our 100% outdoor event with pre-scheduled walk times. The $25 registration fee has been eliminated, as well as the 10-km route option (2 km and 5 km only).
And we won’t be offering a free chilli dinner after the event, although pre-wrapped snacks will be provided at the rest-stop. If you have any questions or concerns about our COVID-related changes, please email us.

The need for meaningful, supportive friendships is even greater during the time of COVID.
Let’s not forget those who are marginalized and isolated. Even as COVID made meeting together in person impossible, our team continued reaching out, connecting and providing a support to our guests.
